We took my mother-in-law here for her birthday dinner, and overall, it was an enjoyable first experience. The evening began with three cast-iron skillet cornbreads brought to our table, served with butter and syrup. One was perfectly cooked, moist, and flavorful. Unfortunately, the other two were overcooked, with hard edges and a noticeably drier texture. We ordered a variety of dishes, and there was something for everyone. My husband started with the triple bean chili, which was a hearty and flavorful vegan option I could enjoy as well. It paired nicely with the cornbread, though it was noticeably too salty. We did provide feedback to our server that cutting back on the sodium would make it even better. Twin A ordered the farmhouse wings with honey Old Bay seasoning and fries, while Twin B chose the blackened chicken Alfredo. Both loved their meals. My mother-in-law went for the traditional meatloaf with a side of buttermilk biscuits, and she really enjoyed it plus she had plenty left to take home. The pizzas were a hit. My husband and daughter tried the Bird + Berry and Grilled Garden Vegetable pizzas. They raved about the flavor, the perfect cheese pull, and how well they were cooked. As for me, I appreciated the vegan options and ordered the grilled asparagus and heirloom tomato salad from the Healthy Living menu. It was simple, fresh, and just what I was looking for. We ended the evening with a birthday treat for my mother-in-law: The Half-Baked Skillet. It was gooey cookie dough, a fudgy brownie base, and ice cream on top. Twin A also tried the cinnamon ice cream, which he absolutely loved and ordered twice. Overall, we had a great time celebrating and trying out The Farmhouse. We’re looking forward to coming back, especially to check out their brunch, which we’ve heard is fantastic.

My wife has wanted to try The Farmhouse every since they began constructing it! She liked the "farm-to-fork" concept, so I booked a reservation for our twenty-sixth anniversary dinner. We were not disappointed: she loved the decor, Mehret provided excellent service, and the food was delicious! We're already considering bringing our daughter for her birthday in a month! We can highly recommend the zucchini fries (as an appetizer), the roasted chicken, and the Chesapeake seafood pasta.

My wife and I had great meal here. The staff and management were very friendly. Our food came out fast and fresh. Monica was great. We took her recommendation and got the Duck Duo and Grandma's Chicken and biscuits. Both were delicious. Great decor and lighting. I Love the herb garden outside the restaurant

Overall, the food at our table was good. We had the Chesapeake eggs and the garlic steak bites for apps and they were just okay. The Godfather Ragu pasta was a bit salty, but the Bird Berry pizza, bison burger, and salmon were all solid picks. Drinks were decent - my lemon drop was just okay, and the espresso martini was a bit sweeter than expected. Service was friendly. They even gave my husband a birthday card and a complimentary appetizer, which was a really nice touch. That said, our drinks and apps took a while to come out, even though the restaurant wasn’t very busy. One of our guests had to reorder their drink twice because the bar didn’t have the ingredients, which was a bit inconvenient. Overall, a nice experience with good food, great service, and a few small bumps.

Absolutely delicious and fresh food. This was my first time at Farmhouse and I will definitely come back. The server Kai was the best and the GM Daniel stopped by to chat with us. The food is super reasonably priced for the quality. I’m all about quality and nutrition (Whole Foods and True Food Kitchen patron). The ambiance was great. Check out my meal…oh, I highly recommend the cornbread and the smash potatoes. The sauce for the potatoes is yummy with a unique flavor!

Sean was our bartender and it was my first time here. Stopped in didn’t know where I was but beautiful atmosphere, good music, food and drinks were awesome. Great hospitality. Being a bartender and working in this industry it’s hard to get good people. Sean was very personable and didn’t leave us waiting or asking to be waited on. That’s a huge plus. Met Comfy and found out it’s her first day what a sweet welcoming personality!! Definitely coming back !!

From the moment you step inside, the warm decor and knowledgeable staff create an atmosphere that feels both welcoming and sophisticated.

As I perused the menu, I was eager to indulge in their diverse offerings. One standout feature is the array of vegan options that ensure everyone is catered for. The cast-iron skillet cornbread served at the start sets an exciting tone for the meal—a deliciously moist piece paired with butter and syrup. While my experience was positively flavorful, it’s noted that some out-of-the-skillet corn breads might need a touch of precision in the kitchen.

Moving on to the entrees, it’s clear that The Farmhouse excels at balancing bold flavors with hearty comfort. The Chesapeake seafood pasta and savory meatloaf are just a few of the options that have received enthusiastic nods from patrons. Moreover, if you find yourself craving a pizza, do try the Bird + Berry or the Grilled Garden Vegetable. These dishes come highly praised for their perfect cheese pull and balanced toppings, making them a must-order on any visit.

For those inclined to socialize or celebrate, the choices for sharing are plentiful. Dishes like the zucchini fries and farmhouse wings encourage a communal dining experience that is perfect for families or friends. Feedback has indicated that these appetizers have become favorites due to their unique flavors and house-made flair.

Let’s not forget dessert, which has been a topic of delightful conversation. The Half-Baked Skillet dessert— a concoction of gooey cookie dough, fudgy brownie base, and a scoop of ice cream—has been celebrated as a perfect ending to the meal. Who could resist such a sweet conclusion?

While some reviews noted minor service hiccups, the commitment to customer satisfaction and an inviting atmosphere seemed to shine through consistently. With exemplary servers—and highlights such as an herb garden outside—the spirit of hospitality here is evident.
